Adaptive Materials Engine (AME) is an open-source engineering intelligence system that helps designers, engineers, and makers replace plastic components with locally sourced, economically viable, and mechanically equivalent or superior materials. When direct substitution is not possible, AME automatically redesigns the system to eliminate plastic dependency while optimizing for cost, performance, and sustainability. https://roxanneardary.com/adaptive-materials-engine/

This thesis addresses the challenges of modernizing Germany's power grid, quantifying risks posed by renewable energy in terms of grid stability. Stability measures are defined. Variability is quantified by fitting Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) Principal on the Component Analysis (PCA) which is used for dimensionality reduction. Using MCMC techniques find low-probability patterns linked to blackouts and desynchronization.
