HyperCloud 3.0.0

hypercal is now HyperCloud, a self-hosted personal cloud: calendar, tasks,
scheduling polls, contacts and files, each an app the instance admin can
switch on or off. Files arrives with sharing, groups and public links;
devices link by approving a code in the browser; a desktop sync client keeps
a folder in step with your files; and on Android, Contacts and Files are apps
of their own beside Calendar, signed in through one HyperCloud account.
Existing installs, Android apps and desktop profiles update in place.

**HyperCloud.** The new name is everywhere a person sees it. Identifiers that
existing installs depend on are kept: the Android package
dev.hypercalendar.app, the desktop profile directory, the database and Docker
image names and the .hypercalendar backup format (see the roadmap). Admins
switch apps on and off in the dashboard; a switched-off app also leaves /dav
and MCP. Prometheus metrics are named hypercloud_*, MCP resources
hypercloud://.

**Files.** Folders and files in a file manager: list and grid, filters and
sorting, favorites and recent files, bulk move, copy and delete, downloads as
a ZIP, thumbnails, viewers for pictures, text, video, audio and PDF, an upload
dialog with progress and resumable uploads, the newest 20 versions of every
file, and the Trash. Admins set the storage per account. Files are reachable
over WebDAV at /dav/files/<user>/, and a file can be attached to an event.
Contents live on disk beside the database (FILES_PATH, files/ by default),
named by their SHA-256. Migrations 0051 and 0052.

**Groups and sharing.** Admins keep groups of accounts. Share a file or
folder with people or groups, to view or to edit, or make a public link with
a password, an expiry and, for a folder, uploads by visitors. Migration 0053.

**Devices.** Link a sync client or a phone by approving the code it shows
in a browser where you are signed in (/connect); Settings > Devices lists the
linked devices and unlinks them, which ends every token they hold. Migration
0054.

**Desktop sync client.** hypercloud-sync keeps a folder on a Linux computer
and your files the same, both ways, within seconds of a change on either
side, with conflict copies instead of lost edits. It has a tray icon and a
page of its own to set it up and follow it, and starts with your session.
Install the .deb or .rpm from this release, or hypercloud-sync-bin from the
pacman repository.

**Android.** HyperCloud Calendar (this app, with tasks and polls) is joined
by HyperCloud Contacts, HyperCloud Files and HyperCloud, the small app that
holds your account so the others sign in with one tap. Contacts kept in the
Calendar app move to the Contacts app through a banner. Each app carries only
its own code and permissions.

**Under the hood.** SQLite gets an explicit busy timeout and periodic
PRAGMA optimize; app password use is written at most once a minute; new
file contents are flushed to disk off the event loop. sharp 0.35.5 fixes the
libvips, libheif and librsvg advisories; the desktop app runs on
Electron 44.7.0. The project lives at gitlab.com/kreuz-com-group/hypercloud.
